Hi, Agnes, it is a very interesting blog. It has a strong relationship with Chinese immigrants’ history which makes me full of interest in your article. The difficulties that Chinese immigrants have gone through in order to survive in the city are really touching. It is informative how you connect closely between the history and the issues for Chinese immigrants back then and reflect on the issue nowadays.

Since the China town is quite close to our life where our family spend a lot of time having dinner there. Connect to the history those immigrants gone through to make the Chinese culture and food be accepted in a foreign country. It is overall a meaningful, interesting, and attention-grabbing article.

Military parade, University Avenue November 10, 1918

This picture captures a military parade during world war 1 at university avenue. Since It was taken on University avenue, which is I often pass by. It deepens my connection with it. People tend to forget the pain and history they have been through. This photo records what happened in a familiar place but at a different time. Bring modern people closer to the pain experienced by their ancestors and elders.

I took this photo back in July 2020. I was waiting for my bus on Morningside. White fluffy clouds dotted the azure blue sky as the sun beamed beatifically. All these nice pictures reflect on the small TTC whindow. The combination of nature and modern transportation. Plus I do miss Toronto's blue sky a lot.
